UKRAINIAN-KOREAN ACADEMY: LAUNCH OF THE PROGRAM FOR COMMUNITY RECONSTRUCTION

We held a working meeting dedicated to the development of international partnership and the preparation of a new educational and practical initiative, the Ukraine–Korea ReBuild Academy, which is planned to be implemented jointly with Seoul National University.

During the discussion, we reviewed the concept of the 9-month program aimed at training a new generation of Ukrainian reconstruction leaders. The program will combine modern Korean experience with practical Ukrainian case studies and will cover three key areas: comprehensive community recovery, development of agricultural territories and Smart Farm, as well as project preparation for attracting international funding and cooperation with donors.

Special attention was paid to the practical component of the training. Each participant will work on a real reconstruction project for a Ukrainian community, which, upon completion of the program, can be presented to international partners, investors, and donors for further implementation.

South Korea is one of the most successful examples of post-war reconstruction in the world. Following the devastating Korean War, the country transformed from widespread destruction into one of the world’s leading economies through strategic planning, investment in education and innovation, infrastructure development, and effective interaction between the state, business, and international partners. That is why the Korean experience is extremely valuable for Ukraine, as it demonstrates how a systemic approach, training of professional personnel, and a long-term vision can become the foundation for successful reconstruction and sustainable development of the country.

The initiative will become a logical continuation of Dobrobat’s cooperation with international educational institutions and another step toward leveraging world experience and partners for the recovery of Ukraine.

Moving forward, we will be working out the details of the cooperation, preparing official documents, and conducting inaugural negotiations with representatives of Seoul National University regarding the launch of the program’s first cohort.
