DOBROBAT USA at the Ukraine Action Summit: Scaling Recovery through Strategic Partnerships
DOBROBAT USA participated in the Ukraine Action Summit in Washington, D.C. — a national platform bringing together policymakers, nonprofit leaders, academic institutions, business representatives, and international partners focused on Ukraine’s long-term recovery, resilience, and democratic stability.
As part of the summit, Kateryna Shevchenko, Head of DOBROBAT USA, presented the organization’s work in advancing scalable recovery and reconstruction initiatives connected to one of the largest volunteer-driven recovery movements currently operating in Ukraine. Her presentation focused on the development of transparent, community-centered, and operationally sustainable recovery systems applicable to post-crisis reconstruction environments.
During her remarks, Kateryna Shevchenko emphasized the importance of integrating international partnerships, civic participation, infrastructure recovery, and modern coordination approaches into long-term reconstruction strategies. She highlighted that effective recovery requires not only humanitarian assistance, but also resilient implementation frameworks, cross-sector collaboration, institutional trust, operational transparency, and measurable impact.

Kateryna Shevchenko also spoke about the role of volunteer-led reconstruction efforts in restoring homes, social infrastructure, and community stability across affected regions of Ukraine. Under her leadership, DOBROBAT USA continues to strengthen practical cooperation between the United States and Ukraine through partnerships involving universities, municipalities, nonprofit organizations, civic institutions, and private-sector stakeholders.
The presentation additionally highlighted the importance of knowledge exchange, innovation-driven recovery approaches, and long-term institutional cooperation. Particular attention was given to the value of international civic engagement and the development of scalable public-interest recovery models with broader relevance for post-crisis reconstruction environments.
Participation in the summit contributed to the expansion of professional and institutional networks connected to recovery coordination, international partnership development, and humanitarian infrastructure initiatives. It also reinforced the growing importance of transparent and accountable recovery systems capable of supporting resilient long-term reconstruction efforts.
Through initiatives such as these, Kateryna Shevchenko and DOBROBAT USA continue advancing cross-border collaboration, civic partnership development, and sustainable recovery approaches that support Ukraine’s reconstruction while strengthening international cooperation between the United States and Ukraine.
