People, aid and mutual understanding - that’s what keeps the reconstruction frontline going uniting efforts and moving the country towards Victory. Last week, over 180 volunteers joined the urgent reconstruction project in seven regions of the country.

Kyiv Dobrobat team went to Demydiv, Dymer and Irpin. Volunteers continue to repair the premises of Demydiv community culture center damaged by an enemy rocket hit nearby. They are replacing broken windows with new metal-plastic ones. In Dymer they also started restoring the roof of a local multi-storey building. Almost every day groups of volunteers tirelessly repair the roof, replacing broken slates. Besides, they helped two families in Irpin. They repaired the roof in the house damaged by shelling where an elderly woman lives. The volunteers also repaired the house roof within two days for a single elderly pensioner. They replaced the slate shattered by the blast wave.

In Chernihiv, reconstruction work has begun at the site where a Russian plane crushed previously shot down by the Ukrainian military. A group of volunteers dismantled debris from a house destroyed by the wreckage of an enemy bomber. They also cleared the house of the survivors from Tsupivka, Kharkiv region. The village is located a few kilometers from the Russian border. Therefore, the locals and their homes are affected by enemy shelling. Volunteers dismantled the building debris to help the residents.

Sumy construction battalion is restoring the destroyed Okhtyrka art school. Earlier, Dobrobat activists began installing window blocks. Now they have continued the installation work. In addition, window sills and ebbs and flows were fixed.

In Mykolaiv region, they helped dwellers of two houses in Lymany. The house surrounding area of an elderly couple was hit by cassette shells several times. It caused complete ruining of the house roof. The volunteers dismantled the roof, restored the wooden framing and covered the roof with new slate. Also the roof of the house, where a couple and their daughter live, was urgently repaired. At the location, volunteers patched the through-holes around the roof perimeter and removed the nails blown off due to the explosions. In Lupareve village, they helped a family of teachers. The roof of their house was repaired, the slate replaced where necessary, and the porch was fixed.

Zaporizhzhya construction battalion went to the site to help the affected people in Lezhyne village. They dismantled the rubble and the shattered roof, then restored the roof frame. Within two days, they completed the urgent roof restoration by fitting ondulin. In addition, they dismantled the broken roof of the summer kitchen and covered it with new slate.
In Kherson, Dobrobat team fixed the windows of an apartment building entrance hall, thus helping its residents. The windows were destroyed by explosive waves caused by three hostile hits. Since the building was mostly inhabited by elderly people, they covered the broken windows with protective sheeting and installed those windows that remained whole after the explosion. Moreover, they continued to restore the damaged Kherson University building so that its students could resume their studies at the earliest possible chance. Having cleared the premises of construction debris and glass, they started repairing the broken windows. New window frames were made on site instead of those blown out in the explosion. They were also covered with plastic sheeting and partially with OSB panels.

We are grateful to everyone who contributes to the reconstruction of the country!
