“Dobrobat” mitigates the aftermath of the overnight attack on Kyiv
In the early hours of May 24, Russia launched a massive combined strike across Ukraine, with Kyiv as the primary target.
As a result of the shelling, two people were killed in the capital, and the number of casualties exceeded 80, including children. Destruction and damage have been recorded in all districts of the city: residential buildings, a shopping mall, and a record number of cultural institutions since the start of the war were affected.
The “Dobrobat” team is already on-site at the impact locations, helping Kyiv residents overcome the aftermath of the strikes. Volunteers are working alongside emergency services and utility workers—clearing debris, cleaning up residential yards, and boarding up damaged windows and building contours to protect people’s remaining property.
We express our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and those injured. “Dobrobat” will remain on-site and continue providing assistance to the capital for as long as it takes to restore the city.
