FIRST AT THE SCENE OF SHELLING: HOW DOBROBAT SAVES HOMES
Published: 13.07.26
A state mechanism for the rapid restoration of housing after Russian shelling is set to launch in Ukraine. Meanwhile, for five years now, Dobrobat volunteers have been working on the ground, being the first to help people eliminate the consequences of attacks.
Together with rescue teams, utility services, and caring citizens, Dobrobat volunteers are the first to arrive at the scene: they board up shattered windows, secure damaged houses, repair roofs, and help people get through the toughest first days.
This requires the simplest yet vital materials: OSB boards, plastic sheeting, slats, screws, and timber for roof restoration. Thanks to the support of our partners and donors, we can promptly help people where it is needed most.
We help for as long as it takes. If something is missing at first, partners, charities, and utility services quickly deliver the materials. Most importantly, people are never left alone with their misfortune.
