More than 150 volunteers and restored facilities in six oblasts: weekly report of Dobrobat volunteer construction battalions

Daily shelling by russian troops destroys houses, schools, and kindergartens and wipes out entire settlements. It is our duty to hold the rear and prevent the enemy from realizing their plans. That's why volunteers of the Dobrobat volunteer movement are focused and tirelessly keep their frontline under control.

Last week, more than 150 volunteers joined the urgent recovery efforts in six oblasts of the country. In Kyiv oblast, they visited Irpin three times. In one of the damaged houses, where a woman lived with her child and her mother, they dismantled the building rubble and cleared the necessary area of debris. In the house of an elderly woman whose sons are defending the country, the volunteers repaired the roof, destroyed by an enemy "strike" in September. In addition, we visited a location where three houses next to each other burned down due to shelling. Three families lost their homes, so the volunteers did what they could support the victims - they started clearing the ruins.

The urgent restoration of the roof of a multi-storey building in Dymer also continued. Volunteers are fully repairing the roof damaged by the blast waves. In particular, they fix the roof and cover it with a new slate.

Volunteers of the Kharkiv branch have been cleaning up the territory of the O.M. Beketov Kharkiv National University of Urban Economy. The rocket attacks damaged the premises of the university in early February. A group of volunteers began clearing the area of rubble. Several times they also visited Malynivka, Chuguiv district, to sew up broken windows of residential buildings with protective film and prepare some for roofing.

In Sumy oblast, volunteers urgently restore the destroyed Okhtyrka art school. The shrapnel after enemy shelling damaged the windows of the building. The volunteers have dismantled the damaged parts, replaced window blocks, and arranged window sills and ebbs.

The Mykolaiv branch's team constantly supports their region's affected residents. For example, in Ukrainka village, they repaired the roof of the house where an elderly couple and their son live, restored the beams and replaced the broken slate. In the house of another elderly couple, the volunteers covered the holes in the damaged roof. In Pervomayske, we helped a woman with four children and her mother, whose apartment was burnt down by an enemy "strike". In particular, they cleared the house of building debris, dismantled broken doors, windows and two destroyed walls, cleared off the garbage and prepared the walls for further restoration.

In addition, the volunteers of the Kherson and Mykolaiv branches joined forces to help the affected residents of Posad-Pokrovske village. The homeowners asked us to clear the territory of their house. So our volunteers dismantled the broken parts of the wall and fence and removed the debris.

A team of Dobrobat volunteers from Zaporizhzhia helped with urgent repairs in the apartment of a local couple. In January, enemy rocket attacks damaged the multi-storey building. So volunteers installed windows and a balcony unit. And in one of the kindergartens, which was damaged by enemy shelling, they dismantled the broken windows and facade of the building. After that, they started installing new window units and restoring the brickwork.

Together we keep the reconstruction front! We thank every volunteer for their dedication to the common cause!
