Over 260 volunteers carried out urgent repairs in five regions: about the week of Dobrobat

In Kyiv region, Dobrobat volunteers have finished repairing the roof of an elderly couple from Irpin. As a result of hostilities, the windows, walls, doors and roof were smashed out. The team has repaired the roof and covered it with new slate. The volunteers went to Havronshchyna village for the second time. There they cleared the rubble of a woman's destroyed house. Her house was shot at by occupiers. Absolutely destroyed by fire, it is no longer rebuildable. Thus, now the task was to clear the territory of construction debris so that the woman could build her house in the future.
Over three weeks now, Dobrobat volunteers have been working hard to repair the roof of a five-story building in Dymer. Almost every day, they repair the roof to provide its residents with warmth. Demydivka community culture center, damaged by the enemy C-300 missile blast waves, is also actively being restored. It took the volunteers three days to install new windows in the building. In addition, a group of Kyiv Construction Battalion went to Kozarovychi to dismantle the rubble of a destroyed private house.
Last week, volunteers of Kharkiv branch finished repairing windows in a local school. In total, more than 80 windows were sewed up with OSB panels, which prevented the school building from ruining as it is not heated while snow and rain got inside through the broken windows. The damaged school building in Pisky-Radkivsky village was also urgently repaired. Dobrobat men partially repaired the rafters and covered the roof with PVC tents and slate, and sewed up the largest school windows with OSB panels.
The team of Mykolaiv Dobrobat is tirelessly helping the victims in the region. It has fixed the roofs of two houses in Limany village. A woman and her child live in one of them. The roof of her house was destroyed by blast waves. The volunteers replaced the broken slates with new ones. Also, the roof of the house of a Ukrainian military defender was repaired. Part of the roof of a neighboring house was completely destroyed by direct enemy hit. Dobrobat team covered it partially with new slates and partially with the ones which remained unbroken.
Our help was also provided in Ochakiv. In particular, we repaired the roof of a local hospital. Also, we sewed up windows and doors with OSB panels, fixed the door locks. The team also met a request made by a resident of an apartment building which used to be home for a dozen families. And now the only woman and her son live there. The team repaired the roof, sewed up the windows, cleaned up construction debris and organized a kind of shelter, supplying it with electricity and water.
In Zaporizhzhia, volunteers have removed the damage caused by a hostile attack of a city residential area. Together with the Cobra, Emergency Rescue Service, they removed the rubble after the rocket attacks clearing the area of construction debris. The volunteers have also helped a pensioner whose house was destroyed by enemy shelling. In particular, they cleared the roof of debris, reinforced the ceiling structure and covered the roof with protective tarpaulin. The team also visited Stepne village. There, they dismantled damaged slate and repaired wooden roof structures in the house of a lonely woman resident.
Although the city is constantly shelled by Russian occupiers, brave Kherson volunteers manage to support those in need. They restored the premises of Kherson State Agrarian and Economic University as well as a multi-storey building damaged as a result of massive shelling of the city back on December 24. The entrance hall in the University main building was restored by boarding up the windows and doors with OSB panels. Three days long they also cleared the academic buildings of shattered glass and removed the debris in the window frames to cover the shattered windows with protective sheeting. And in the damaged building, together with its dwellers, they sewed up the windows of the kitchen and living room
