Results of emergency recovery and support for media ambassadors: Dobrobat reports for the week.
In Kyiv Oblast, volunteers went to Demydiv, Velyka Dymerka, Makarov, Hostomel, and Irpin. In Demydiv, volunteers repaired the roofs of four houses of residents. Since early October, groups of volunteers have made daily visits to the villages to repair roofs and to prepare the houses for winter and significant cold. In Velyka Dymerka, volunteers completed the first stage of emergency repairs to an older woman's home. In six days, volunteers repaired the roof and two gables. Further, they plan to install windows and glass units. In addition, groups of 10 and 20 volunteers twice went to Hostomel and Makariv and Irpin to help remove debris from the destroyed premises. The "EvoPlay" IT team joined the liquidation of the house destruction consequences in Demydiv. They cleared away the destruction and cleaned up the house where a family with seven young children lived.
The immediate reconstruction of the Ivanivka community in Chernihiv Oblast continues with the support of the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development. Last week Dobrobat volunteers directly fixed the roofs of four houses in Yahidne and one in Ivanivka. Moreover, they installed new windows in eight houses.
The Kharkiv construction battalion also keeps its finger on the pulse of reconstruction. Dobrobat volunteers helped the Palace of Children and Youth Creativity. Blast waves in the centre, where young naturalists study, gutted windows in greenhouses with rare plants. Volunteers saved them by covering the structures with film so that the plants would not freeze from the cold. Twice they went to a Kharkiv school located in Northern Saltivka. Volunteers from Dobrobat covered the gap in the roof, formed after another enemy shelling, to keep the building from getting wet. Volunteers continued to help the affected residents in the liberated Korobochkino. In particular, they boarded up the battered windows with OSB boards.
In Sumy Oblast, volunteers work on reconstructing Trostyanets damaged during the occupation. The Romny team joined in the removal of rubble from houses in the private sector. They completed the cleanup of two locations at once. Also, they continue to restore the roof of a house with eight apartments where older people live. Volunteers of Romny and Sumy Dobrobat branches replaced the boards, dismantled the bow window and covered the roof with metal tiles from the inner part of the yard. Residents also help volunteers. Meanwhile, our volunteer battalion members tirelessly and urgently restore the region and take care of the Ukrainian defenders fighting on the front lines. The coordinator of the Sumy battalion once again organized a charity blood donation campaign to save the lives of our soldiers. Volunteers have already donated over 30 litres of blood and components for seven campaigns.
Our cause resonates in the hearts of many others. Ukrainian performers and famous people support Dobrobat. The singer DOROFEEVA presented a music video for the song "In your soul", in which she called for donations to rebuild housing destroyed by the enemy. The video's main idea, a joint work of the singer and Dobrobat, is to draw attention to a significant problem and call on everyone to help urgently restore homes. The performer of the "Cultural Troops", whose leader and at the same time the ambassador of Dobrobat is Kolya Serga, launched the project "Together!", holding the defence on the cultural front and creating patriotic and ideological murals. Wall paintings have already appeared in the Kharkiv region's liberated towns of Balaklia, Shevchenkiv, Kupyansk and Izyum. On the murals, there is also symbolic gratitude to our volunteers, who constantly travel to the liberated Kharkiv Oblast and recently to Mykolaiv Oblast and support the victims. In addition, the Dobrobat media ambassador Andriy Rybak collected more than 100 thousand hryvnias for the urgent reconstruction of the country. The presenter and comedian, and his colleagues on the stage organized a tour of Ukrainian cities to help the country and our armed forces. The guys staged a series of comedy improvisations, and at the end of the show, they held auctions. Comedians donated funds from selling tickets and giveaways to Dobrobat to speed up the country's reconstruction.
Oleg Skrypka, a musician and a legend of Ukrainian rock music, supported Dobrobat by becoming the project's media ambassador. The performer visited the location in Velyka Dymerka, expressing his support to the house resident and the good deeds of Dobrobat members. Composer Sashko Lozovsky accompanied the singer. Together they sang songs, having arranged an improvised concert.
The "Zigriii" movement, created by Dobrobat and the "Made in Ukraine" project, is also actively developing. In a few weeks, we have more than 1,200 applications from skilled knitters who want to create warm clothes for defenders with their own hands. They have already knitted more than 200 products which will soon be taken to our soldiers.
We are grateful to everyone who does not lose faith in Victory and the passion for supporting each other. We will overcome the enemy in unity and solidarity. Let's rebuild the country together!
